Prestigious and award winning, The Real Mary Kings Close is one of Edinburgh’s most popular attractions. An opportunity has arisen to contribute to the further success of this attraction and we require a seasonal front of house team member. 

 

Seasonal Front of house team member (Full & Part-Time)

Start Date: End of July 2010

Remuneration: £6.36 per hour

 

As part of the front of house team, you will be required to work within our visitor centre as well as our external courtyard café. This diverse role involves taking reservations both over the phone and face to face using our computerised booking system, merchandising and general housekeeping, answering customer enquiries, making hot beverages and ensuring hygiene standards are maintained.

Working as part of our team, your role will be to provide our guests with a friendly and welcoming experience so that they leave feeling that they have received excellent customer service and value for money. Previous customer service experience is desirable, as is enthusiasm and a commitment to deliver an excellent experience to our guests. The Real Mary King’s Close is open seven days a week, 363 days a year therefore a flexible working pattern and attitude is essential. The role also includes assisting with private evening hire and event operations as and when required.
