This Autumn saw The Real Mary King's Close celebrate a clutch of award wins!  Mary King's Ghost Fest celebrated with a win at the first Spiritual Connextions Awards and was voted 'Best Paranormal Event' by followers of the spirtual website!

We then collected the 'Best Leaflet' award at the ASVA Conference 2007 for the Mary King's Ghost Fest leaflet.  Judges proclaimed the leaflet a huge success -

“Bold and imaginative front page, highly innovative & effective use of paper and fulsome information – a powerful combination”

The awards haul continued when our Duty Manager, Susan Gunn, won the Rising Star Award.  The annual Rising Star award goes to a young tourism professional who has made a siginificant contribution to their place of work and the Scottish tourism industry.  Susan started working at The Real Mary King's Close as a tour guide in 2003 and has risen though the ranks to Retail Manager, recently spearheading the renovation of our gift shop.
